This successful company has already brought the EU to the USC (Una-Sana Canton), opening a large market that can ensure the means of existence for a large number of local people.
Support to this venture, during a recent visit to this company, gave also Semsudin Dedic, the Prime minister of USC who stressed the importance of agricultural development to the USC.
"Our Canton in the last year has achieved significant results in the production of berries, where we had the largest increase in production evidenced by the 300 tons export. This business success is a clear sign to producers of berries and to other agricultural producers that they have a partner in the Government of USC, which this year has provided a 189,000 KM incentive for the production of berries and procurement of seedlings, " said the Prime Minister.
According to Alen Badnjevic, the owner of the Roland firm, over 90 percent of products was placed at the German market, as a confirmation of quality achieved by farmers of the USC.
"We have 15 acres of raspberry plantation and cooling storage with capacity of 800 tons, which guarantees a smooth raspberry cultivation and storage. The particular value of our production is the fact that during the season we have up to 500 subcontractors, who in fact ensure the livelihoods for many unemployed, " said Badnjevic, adding that the Government of USC was an enormous support to the companies in the form of incentives.
