Project worth millions - "Water supply and sanitation systems of FB&H"

 After the Federal Government passed the implementation of an agreement with the European Investment Bank, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management is moving into the implementation of a long-planned project - "Water supply and sanitation systems of the Federation", confirmed to our portal the Department for Water Projects affiliated to the Ministry.
The project itself includes 15 municipalities in the Federation as follows: Mostar, Siroki Brijeg, Tomislavgrad, Posusje, Orasje, United Kladusa, Bosanski Petrovac and Bosanska Krupa.The municipalities yet to be approved are: Tesanj, Jajce, Prozor/ Rama, Ljubuski, Glamoc and Livno.
"The total value of the project is 121.3 million EUR, out of which 60 million is loaned, while the rest is obtained from the municipality's funds, the IPA funds and other donors, " explained to eKapija.ba Husremović Amer, Head of Department for Water Projects.
He says that the project’s focus is repair, reconstruction and construction of water supply and sanitation systems for waste-water treatment in 15 municipalities. Implementation of the project will take seven years from making of contracts with municipalities.
The project will allow to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management to establish a permanent EIB project office and hire four employees (director, translator, financial experts and procurement specialists).
Also at the discretion of the Government, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and the Federal Ministry of Finance shall jointly establish The Project Board of Directors.
