SEPTEMER 2, 2010 - Construction and repair of 391 facilities, owned by five power supply stations at the territory of Bosnian Federation, is undertaken by the business group of Malcom-Umel-Deling who won the job during the competitive international bidding.

The project is financed by the European Investment Bank, within the Project Power IV Initiative.

Enforcing a sustainable business policy of hiring local companies on all (EPBiH) Elektroprivreda’s jobs, the company today signed a deal with the Malcom-Umel-Deling Group worth 54,55 mil KM.

The contract is signed between Amer Jerlagic CEO of EPBiH and executive directors of Umel and Deling Nedzad Asceric and Omer Delalic, on repair and construction of 391 power facilities, distributed across five Elektroprivreda’s subsidiaries in Bihac, Mostar, Sarajevo , Tuzla and Zenica.

Duration of the contract is three years, according to the turnkey principle, while the construction includes 140 km of new transmission lines and low voltage systems, reconstruction / rehabilitation of about 600 km of existing lines and construction of new substations 10 (20) / 0.4 kV which should increase the installed capacity in these facilities by more than 20 MVA.

Deling’s CEO Omer Delalic, said at the press conference that some other local firms are also a part of the project.

Implementation of the project will upgrade transmission lines and existing power supply, cutting the power losses and maintenance expenses.
