September 3, 2010 - If you are interested in having some active vacation this weekend, the Exploring BH Agency recommends rafting on the Neretva River.

The rich flora and fauna, numerous cascades will make happy all nature enthusiasts. Neretva River is Herzegovina’s gem, one of the longest rivers in the entire B-H.

The upper river stream is an exciting rafting spot for all those who love adrenaline rush. That part of the river, from the source to Konjic, is full of rapids, cascades and whirlpools.

One of the peculiarities of the river is that the entire upper course, long 80 km, is a clean water that you can drink. That part of the river is abundant in numerous fish species that can thrive only in clean waters, such as marble and Adriatic trout.

The entire descent takes up to three to four hours, depending on a season of the year.
