September 6, 2010 - In the early nineties, Dragomir Loncar decided that the borders between Banja Luka, Prijedor and Sanski Most, are where he was going to build the very first development of that area, together with his family, surrounded by lakes and rich deciduous forest.

Over time, he adds new contents, creating one of the most beautiful eco-resorts in the country. Nearly twenty years later, Ljekarice in Loncari next to Prijedor wins the title of the most successful tourism project, and a year later, the title of the most breathtaking place of Republika Srpska.

Loncar in a conversation with eKapija, emphasizes that around area of Ljekarice there are 10 lakes, two of those are adapted for swimming, then camping area, restaurant, sports courts. Also, the large area of the Resort is excellent for hunting and fishing. It is possible to hunt pheasants, wild ducks, rabbits, foxes, wild boars, deers... Numerous springs and streams are rich with crab, mussels and fish.

In addition to staying in the fresh air and walks in nature, visitors are able to collect healing herbs, mushrooms and wild berries. The restaurants are preparing healthy food – vegetable broth, food cooked in sač, roasted lamb and other local dishes prepared in a traditional way.

"The Resort was built twenty years ago, but it has been open to visitors only for seven. We try every year to offer something new and to enrich our offer. At the moment, we have two modernly equipped, natural stone pools. Of course, we regularly control the water quality, "said Loncar, adding that the eco-resort is constructed and designed with the respect and love for nature.

300,000 tourists have visited Ljekarice this year. The Resort is active only during summer, but with the completion of the hotel facilities, owners will be able to accommodate guests throughout the year. The hotel will have 13 rooms and two suits, a restaurant, yard, conference hall, offices, gym and a wellness center. Also, bungalows with 40 beds will be available.

With expanding the business, the Resort will be a place for organizing business assemblies, seminars, outdoor field trips to the nature or a place for anybody wanting to visit.

The area surrounding the Resort is beautifully decorated with clean springs, creeks and rivers, meadows and hills, while conifer wood is all around it, gradually being replaced by deciduous trees and open woodland areas.

Numerous places in this area are convenient for a barbecue in the nature, enjoying shade from the cool forests and forgetting everyday problems.
